Counsellor Liu Ke expressed full affirmation of the standardized and efficient operational management of the mines, as well as the positive developments achieved in the mining area since the beginning of the year.
Counsellor Liu Ke stated that the Chinese Embassy in Fiji would continue to pay attention to and support the development of Vatukoula Gold Mines. He expressed hope that the mine would strengthen its commitment to quality, safety, and environmental protection, further promote integration and cultural exchange between Chinese and Fijian employees, and continuously inject new momentum into the cooperation between China and Fiji under the Belt and Road Initiative. Sun Yingxiang responded that Vatukoula Gold Mines would thoroughly implement the requirements of the Embassy, strive to build the mine into a benchmark enterprise among Chinese-funded mining companies in Fiji, and contribute Zhaojin’s strength to promoting the sustainable development of the mining industry in both China and Fiji.
