Chinese Embassy's Military Attaché and Counselor Visit Vatukoula Gold Mines for Fact-Finding Tour
During the visit, Military Attaché Zhang Yu, Counselor Liu Ke, and their delegation watched a short video to better understand Zhaojin Group's full industry chain layout and how Vatukoula Gold Mines is currently operating. They then toured key facilities including the Power House, the newly built Fulin Processing Plant, and the newly built Fulin tailings treatment facility to see production firsthand. Sun Yingxiang explained the construction standards, advanced technologies being used, and future production capacity plans for each facility.
Counselor Liu Ke praised the mine's standardized operations and rigorous safety and environmental management. He also expressed hope that the company would continue to serve as a model for China-Fiji mining cooperation—operating compliantly, supporting the local community, creating jobs, driving economic growth, and further strengthening the friendly ties between China and Fiji.
Sun Yingxiang said the mine would keep the embassy's guidance in mind, remain fully committed to compliant operations, run all aspects of production smoothly, actively fulfill its social responsibilities, help lift China-Fiji mining cooperation to higher quality and greater efficiency, and promote mutual benefit and shared success for both sides.
