Mastering Skills, Enhancing Competence, Honing Craftsmanship! Vatukoula Gold Mines' First Electrician Skills Competition Successfully Commences
The competition was structured in two segments: a theoretical test and a practical skills contest. Participants first completed disciplinespecific written examinations to reinforce their foundational knowledge of electrical operations. They then moved on to two practical tasks—wiring lamps for power connection and installing and wiring electrical sockets—strictly following standardised procedures with composure and precision, fully demonstrating their solid technical expertise and strong professional ethics.
Mr. Sun Yingxiang, General Manager, together with the executive management team, attended the event on site to observe and provide guidance, and commended the competition. He remarked that electrical safety is a critical component of mine safety production, and that this skills competition should serve as a catalyst for conducting routine onthejob drills and skillbased contests on a regular basis. This, he said, will continuously enhance the overall professional skills and safety accountability of all employees, thereby reinforcing the mine's safety production.
