A delegation from Fiji's Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources recently visited the Vatukoula Gold Mines for a special inspection. Sun Yingxiang, Deputy General Manager of Zhaojin Gold and General Manager of Vatukoula Gold Mines, accompanied the team throughout the on‑site walkthrough. Through meetings and field visits, the inspectors conducted a thorough review of the Vatukoula mines, the new Fulin projects, and associated facilities – all to help ensure compliant, safe, and orderly operations.

To enrich staff recreational and cultural life and boost team morale, Vatukoula Gold Mines in Fiji recently hosted its first-ever staff football tournament. The VTP (Vatukoula Treatment Plant) team emerged victorious, showcasing their skill and determination to claim the championship.

On July 2, the first drill hole of the North Island Mt. Kasi exploration and reserve increase project at Vatukoula Gold Mines in Fiji was officially commenced, marking the start of the drilling verification phase for Lot 6 under exploration license SPL1519.

On June 8, Vatukoula Gold Mines organized a special meeting on dewatering. Sun Yingxiang, Deputy General Manager of Zhaojin Gold and General Manager of Vatukoula Gold Mines, attended and delivered a speech. The dewatering expert team, department heads, and frontline personnel gathered to coordinate the dewatering system upgrade, working hard to ensure safe production at the mine

On May 18, Vatukoula Gold Mines in Fiji held a mobilization and deployment meeting to roll out its "Foundation-Strengthening and Breakthrough Action Plan." Attendees included the mine's management team and department heads. The meeting was designed to carry out the directives from Zhaojin Group and Zhaojin Gold, while taking into account the realities of operating an overseas mine. It marked the official launch of the implementation plan, aiming to make solid progress in three key areas: grassroots capacity building, basic management, and core operational capabilities.

 On May 4, local time in Fiji, Cong Zhaopeng, Safety Director of Vatukoula Gold Mines, convened a safety meeting for middle-level management and key technical staff. The meeting reviewed and discussed the "Zhaojin Group Notice on Safety Special Rectification for Mine Ventilation, Tailings Dams, Water Drainage and Prevention, Goafs, Collapse Areas, and Geological Disasters," reported on progress made in building the dual prevention mechanism, and laid out a systematic plan for hazard rectification and safety control system improvements.

On April 24, Vatukoula Gold Mines achieved a major milestone by connecting its 3+6+9 power project to the grid. The project integrates three newly purchased and commissioned diesel generators, six of the mine's older diesel units, and nine older heavy fuel oil generators — all now synchronized and online, setting a new record in the mine's power infrastructure history.

Tang Lei, General Manager of Zhaojin International Gold Co., Ltd., recently led a team to Vatukoula Gold Mines in Fiji for an on-the-ground assessment of overseas mining operations and to lay out key priorities for the future — charting a clear road map for the mine to hit its annual targets.

On April 10, Vatukoula Gold Mines held its inaugural Safety Culture Month launch ceremony. Employee representatives gathered at the site to build a safety consensus around the theme: "Forging a Safe Foundation Through Culture, Advancing Steadily Through Solid Efforts." The event marked a new chapter in the mines' safety culture development.
